After years of planning, we are pleased to have broken ground on the new Village Walk at Montgomery, a mixed-use development located on Route 206 in Skillman, NJ. As the property owners of the adjacent Village Shoppes at Montgomery shopping center, located at 1378 Route 206, we would like to thank all of our existing tenants for their patience and support as we work to redevelop The Village Walk at Montgomery into one cohesive section of Montgomery’s downtown, combining long-term existing businesses with new businesses all connected to the local residential neighborhoods.
As thirty-year residents of Montgomery township, we take pride in delivering a finished product that will enhance Montgomery’s downtown retail district. We are grateful to all township officials who have worked with us and continue to work with us throughout this process. The Village Walk at Montgomery will include new market rate as well as affordable housing, new business operations and amenities, the addition of two loop roads connecting Routes 206 and 518, and an improved intersection at the property’s entrance. This is a major part of Montgomery Township’s Master Plan.
This project has been meticulously designed over the past three years to adhere to Montgomery township’s strict aesthetic requirements and to ensure that all safety precautions are taken into account throughout and following construction.
As all Village Shopper II tenants were informed of the scale of this project, most have decided to relocate. Fortunately, they have moved to available space within the immediate area, continuing to provide township residents with their great service. Technician X, UPS and Rocky Hill Dry Cleaners have moved to the adjacent Village Shoppes at Montgomery Center. Village Shoes, Kumon and the Montgomery Taekwondo Academy have also remained local within the community.
We are dedicated to providing the Township of Montgomery and its residents with an outstanding product that will provide improved amenities and exciting business opportunities for years to come. We appreciate Montgomery’s patience as we continue to make progress and look forward to delivering an improved downtown experience.
